Moopanar, Tamil Maanila Congress president, and his party colleagues Jayanthi Natarajan, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, and Peter Alphonse, resign from Rajya Sabha membership following a petition filed by Shiv Sena member Sanjay Nirupam seeking their disqualification 'for defecting from Congress(I)'.
